Selection Criteria

 

Behind schedule for graduation

 

Non-classified; non-violent

 

Average academic ability or higher

 

At risk of failing or dropping out of school based on any combination of factors including:

Poor attendance

In need of smaller school environment

Not following traditional school rules and policies

Alienated or apathetic toward school

In need of credit recovery 

 

Application

 

Applications to CLASS Academy are made through the applicant’s home school guidance counselor’s office. Students should complete the application with the help of his or her parent or guardian, and the home school’s guidance counselor, who will forward the completed application packet to the appropriate CLASS Academy administrator. After a full review of the completed application documents, an interview and visit to the facility is scheduled with the student and his/her parent or guardian.
